German Jewish community warns not to wear kippahs amid anti-Semitic attacks

    I suppose that this is in response to a recent attack against a man wearing a Jewish skullcap in Berlin [1]. The crazy bit is that the man attacked was a Syrian Muslim who was walking around with the skullcap to see if Europe is safe for Jews. The guy who filmed the attack was an Israeli Arab!

    I'll admit, though, this article interests me because I'm an Israeli Jew. I'm really not sure why it is on Hacker News.

      The man attacked was an Israelian Arab, the attacker was a Syrian refugee.

      This paper is considered far-right in Israel. It is a settlers paper that was started as an illegal radio from Israel's International waters in opposition to the peace accords.

        An israelian Arab as an experiment wore a kippah and was attacked with a belt by an Syrian refugee. Palestinian conflict exported to Germany.

        (not to belittle the other anti semitism in Germany)
