    That letter is risible.

    After firing 80% of his workforce in a brainless temper tantrum, Musk is now shocked to learn that some of the affected employees landed at competitor Meta. And there’s simply no way Meta could have built a Twitter clone in “a matter of months” without using Twitter’s secret sauce IP (even though Meta has been operating at billion-user scale for longer than Twitter has). Okay.

      They surely could build what they released in a matter of months, but my guess is the jumpstart Meta had came from the Fediverse and not Twitter. There’s many similarities and they have plans of Activitypub interoperability in the near future.

      Also can’t imagine Meta’s HR/Legal would be that dumb. Easy to avoid putting Twitter people on Threads team.
