    Together with the short list of ghastly examples,

    the denounce is important against a crawling spirit of "must-do-something-anything-ism". (I hope I will find a better term.)

    There exist individuals that (sometimes openly) get gratification by seeing somebody "just take action" - even if it is bad action, damaging. They find it reassuring.

    And there exist individuals that just love a "loud voice", again for emotional gratification (independently of the content). "Pornophony".

    Clearly, education is failing in having this individuals overcome emotional instances towards lucidity.

    And this disposition is a powerful base for populists.

      Especially prevalent in gun politics e.g. if you point out some arbitrary restriction on collapsible stocks or muzzle flash suppressors will save 0 lives.
