Texas' border standoff with feds continues, despite U.S. Supreme Court order
6 points by baremetal 1 year ago | 10 comments- manuelabeledo 1 year agoIsn't denying access to the US border to federal agents, essentially another example of insurrection?
I know they are doing this for the show, but I'm not sure if they are ready for the endgame.
- baremetal 1 year agoThe Framers included both Article IV, § 4, which promises that the federal government “shall protect each [State] against invasion,” and Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which acknowledges “the States' sovereign interest in protecting their borders.”
- hackerlight 1 year agoDidn't the Supreme Court already rule on this though?

- TurkishPoptart 1 year agoWhy does the federal government seem devoted to keeping the border open?
- manuelabeledo 1 year agoThey don't.
Barbwire is set up at the border to cause damage. It is actually even worse than not having it, since border agents are required to seek medical assistance for any individual hurt during an operation.

- tomohawk 1 year agoThe US Constitution says:
Article I
But TX is obviously being invaded. This is a directed action by well funded organizations.Section 10 Powers Denied States Clause 3 Acts Requiring Consent of Congress No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.
Furthermore, the US Constitution says:
The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion
- AlexeyBelov 1 year agoIs TX being invaded? Can you share something about this?
- manuelabeledo 1 year agoOf course it is not. It's just another dogwhistle.
There's a reason why you don't see this crap happening in California, even when they are well ahead of Texas in terms of unauthorized residents.
