Just after 3 weeks from its introduction today the Italian anti-piracy platform known as Piracy Shield blocked one of Cloudflare IP addresses.

I'm not familiar enough to read between the lines, could you add a little context? Is the issue poor identification, or is cloudflare shielding pirates?

Cloudflare is shielding pirates, but blocking one of their IPs is probably not the best way to deal with that.

Obvious solution is to remove protections from them. Make them responsible if pirated material is distributed from their CDN. With the normal multipliers used in in the court cases.

Some pirate streaming services are indeed using CloudFlare CDN products, but that’s not a legitimate reason to null-route their IP addresses because that causes a ton of legitimate services to become unreachable.

Hoping cloudflare lawyers up and asks for damages.
