We found it pretty hard to understand what was driving our BigQuery costs. It turns out that BigQuery provides a very granular view of your usage data in your information schema, so we were able to build some useful dashboards on top of that.

This seemed generally useful, so we wrapped the dashboard config into this free tool. It uses Google OAuth under the hood to connect to your BQ project and query your cost data.
