Wayback Machine Homepage is missing from Google results
24 points by Avery3R 1 year ago | 8 comments- ChrisArchitect 1 year agoIt's not that it's not indexed, just not the top result. Maybe it dropped as a regular result because of confusion about whether "web.archive.org" is the same/similar to www.archive.org
who knows
There's definitely variations on it too, appearing as a subpage of Internet Archive listings..... appearing as it's own thing with direct search field underneath etc. It's all variations. (Not arguing that it shouldn't be a result for "wayback machine" search, but that's a quality issue)
- beardyw 1 year agoRight at the top for me.
- khaledh 1 year agoFor me the top result is sep11.wikipedia.org, not wayback.archive.org.
- NekkoDroid 1 year agoI have http://archive.org as second result (yes, not https), sep11... is also the first for me

- octopusRex 1 year agoTop for me as well. It may have to do with what Google has learned from observing your search history?
- Avery3R 1 year agoIt shows up on bing, yahoo, and yandex, but not google.
