Light Phone III

I've been using a dumbphone for about 6 months, with a back up smartphone for banking etc., that I try to use more like a laptop.
Recently I bought a unihertz jelly star, which is essentially a tiny android phone.
It's great, I can listen to podcasts, music, audiobooks, has a semi decent camera, android pay, but it's difficult to waste time browsing on it, as it is so small.
However I still end up spending more time than I'd like on it, compared to the actual feature phone.
The feature phone had a camera but it was really crap. For audiobooks, podcasts etc. I could just download them onto it, so that was fine.
Not having maps, android pay, etc. could be painful at times.
I really like the look of this phone, a decent camera is really attractive. The site is kind of light on specs. I assume it is still AOSP. It has 5G so I'm guessing it will be able to be used as a Wifi / USB hotspot for other devices.
The discount at 399 USD is tempting, but I'm not sure I can justify buying yet another phone! The full price of 799 seems kinda steep to me.

- uyzstvqs 1 year agoIf you don't want a smartphone, you can get a decent feature phone for about €50. It will probably work better and last longer than this.
