If science can one day make a convincing case for a multiverse, would there be any difference between that reality and innumerable simulated universes?
Would there be a difference between existing in a universe created by a divine being and one created by a species advanced enough to create a simulated universe populated with sentient beings?

- ickelbawd 11 months agoI think maybe they’re implying that if the experiment lacks value, funding for it will dry up and our simulated reality will get shut down. So it’s only the end of the universe as we know it. I’m sure that doesn’t matter…

- pipodeclown 11 months agoBy simulation, scientists generally don't mean: we're all plugged into the matrix. What they mean is that this three dimensional reality we're experiencing is a projection of some sort of higher dimensional reality.
- lagrange77 11 months agoIt sounds like he is talking about an actual simulation:
