      exactly. this week freakonomics have Yang talking about a new currency based on work... it's so silly i had to check the date for april first several times in between my laughs.

      he's very concerned about getting people to work. something regular money cannot do from his point of view as someone who probably never worked for money. but he's so well meaning.

      caused me to remove freakonomics from my listening list.

      The problem with this view is that it encourages broader democracy, and taking into account expertise and lived experience.

      As such, it doesn't really work politically for the average blogger revolutionary seeking to destroy the system to save capitalism from the woke or whatever.
