Montana man faces sentencing for cloning sheep to breed for trophy hunts
7 points by Wojtkie 9 months ago | 3 comments- Someone 9 months agoThere nothing in this article saying he’s in court for cloning animals:
“An 81-year-old Montana man faces sentencing in federal court Monday in Great Falls for illegally using tissue and testicles from large sheep hunted in Central Asia and the U.S. to illegally create hybrid sheep for captive trophy hunting in Texas and Minnesota.”
The linked-to article https://apnews.com/article/wildlife-trafficking-giant-sheep-... says
“Using biological tissue obtained from a hunter who killed a wild sheep in Kyrgyzstan belonging to the world’s largest species of the animals — Marco Polo argali sheep — Schubarth procured cloned embryos of the animal from a lab, according to court documents.”
⇒ it doesn’t even look as if he did any cloning himself.
- h2odragon 9 months agoI really think there's a lot more to this story than has been made public. I think they're jacking an old man because they can. he made some public posts that were black mail worthy about how fond he was of his sheep and they've used those to force plea bargain.
the lesson is Beware the feds on your kink forums.
