I really don’t get the purpose of these immersive videos. Can anyone of the 10-ish people who owns a Vision Pro share their experience of watching them?

I feel that if Apple wants to make a new immersive content format into a thing, they should bring it to platforms with actual users like the Meta Quest, PC or PlayStation VR

      I'll bite.

The perspective is indescribably real. An attempt to describe: a lot of the camera trickery used in most movies and docs to change perspective is removed and distance and scale are evident feel real.

Sleep No More fans eat your heart out, etc.

I'd love to see Cameron, Fincher, or another director who embraces tech to take this format for a joy ride.

You could be right about sharing with other platforms. On the other hand, I could agree to an argument that presenting immersive experiences in any format less than AVP's extreme HD cheapens it. My understanding is this is the highest resolution available in the normal market. Maybe offering a cheapened experience wouldn't be so bad?
