National Security Just Called, They Can't See the Email Traffic

- mgraybosch 7 months agoIt could be worse.
Have you seen what you get if you visit jwz.org with a HN referrer header?
Not that I blame JWZ at all.
- wyldfire 7 months agoLet's test it out: https://www.jwz.org/
EDIT: I laughed.
- mgraybosch 7 months agoSo do I, but a lot of people here don't care much for the notion that neither HN nor its parent company YCombinator are universally admired.

- poisonborz 7 months agoThis was an open secret I saw mentioned a number of timed on forums of Hungarian internet in those years (secret services having black boxes plugged in to servers of ISPs). Open range times, before https was common.
- wffurr 7 months agoSite just returns HTTP 418 "I'm a teapot".

- ihuman 7 months agoIt only returns that if you click the link in HN. If you open a new tab and paste the URL, it works.
