Elon Musk's Twitter Alt Account "Adrian Dittmann" Was Unmasked
27 points by DigitalHackOp 6 months ago | 13 comments- riffraff 6 months agoI have no idea what I just read, this seems somewhat unhinged. Why is the Adrian dittman persona of interest?
- verdverm 6 months agoBecause it is the alleged alt account for Elon. There have been a number of instances of late where politicians and other notable public figures have been caught having their primary and alts interact as if they are different people. Many see the practice as deceptive
- delichon 6 months agoI'm not famous or rich but I use psuedomous accounts, like this one, for what I consider to be good reasons. It is a kind of deception to try to maintain my privacy ... and I have no problem with that. It would be interesting to find an alt Elon account but only as scandalous as the worst thing he said with it.
- verdverm 6 months agoIt's more that he (and other prominent public figures) use their alt accounts to interact with their primary account, as if they are different people. This is what people find deceptive

- minimaxir 6 months agoElon Musk is a person with both tech influence and now political influence. His alt accounts have influence as well and are therefore relevant.
- riffraff 6 months agoBut why this one? How do you pick a random Twitter account to check if it's Elon's sock puppet?
Surely there must have been a reason to specifically check this one?
- minimaxir 6 months agoIt's not random, that particular account has been suspected of being an Elon alt for years for the same suspicious reasons.

- oneeyedpigeon 6 months agoIt's extremely sycophantic, even for a Musk stan. Its voice and speech mannerisms are uncannily similar.

- Terr_ 6 months agoYeah, I have never been a fan of Elon Musk, but this thing is is setting off some red flags of weird untrustworthiness.
For example, the promise that "friends at the NSA" will be providing some future unspecified form of evidence. It gives me nostalgic "I asked my uncle who works at Nintendo" vibes.
