For blind people, sadly I have to agree with you. It is too bad, you would think braille readers would work great w/Linux due to UN*X original design. But I think getting the hardware is rough for individual developers. And most of the fortune 500 Companies "supporting" Linux only cares about free labor.

But there is slint, the person who put it together did so to address vision issues. Maybe that will work ? I never used it so I have no opinion.

I've been reading these posts, and it's got me wondering. What are the main obstacles for creating distributions which are specifically made for the vision impaired. And relatedly, what are the obstacles for creating "spins" which specialiwe in catering to the vision impaired. Not merely a rhetorical question.
