Seeing the sphere is what finally might bring me to Vegas :P. Always interesting to see how far apart the LED units are on the outside and how smooth it looks blended together. I wonder what a desktop-scale sphere would look like and if it would have the same effect.

Sometimes I feel like the only person that is not impressed or fascinated with this silly light ball. Making a spherical steel building gets a "meh" reaction from me, and installing a bunch of LEDs on it does not impressive me in the slightest.

It gets enough attention that I feel like I gotta be missing something, but every time I read something about it or see something they are doing with it I fail to find any reason to be impressed or care. I feel like if I lived somewhere near it it would quickly become a massive eyesore, like a giant animated billboard.

Small is beautiful. :-)
