Macron can BS all he wants about "space", "strategy", "partnerships", and how France being the home of the baguette somehow makes France a natural at rocketry.

The Unobtainium that matters is having a SpaceX-ish organization, actually able to design/build/operate/scale the necessary launch hardware.

(To be fair to Macron - I can't recall that any politician, ever, has faced up to that fact.)
