    Interesting to consider where this might be headed. The merging of app and web history in Android L's task switcher points to some kind of unification of native apps and the web in future versions of Android.

    Google seems hesitant to adopt newer features of Java after their tussles with Oracle and Apple has raised the bar with Swift, even if it's in a rough state. My semi-educated guess is that Google has big plans for Dart, the Dart VM, and the next generation of Android.
